Free, practical advice on the Access to Work process: who can apply, what it covers, and how to navigate the process.
Access to Work can make a real difference to disabled people at work, but the process isn’t always easy to navigate. Join us once a month on a Thursday, 13:30-14:30, for free, practical advice on how the scheme works and how to get the support you need.
These sessions are purely advisory. Whether you’re applying for the first time, stuck partway through, or supporting an employee, bring your questions.
We can help with:
- Who is eligible, including employees, self-employed people and those starting a new job
- What Access to Work can fund, from equipment and support workers to travel and mental health support
- How to apply, and how to prepare for your needs assessment
- What to do about delays, renewals or changes in your circumstances
- What employers need to know, and how Access to Work fits alongside reasonable adjustments
Who it’s for:
Disabled (incl. neurodivergent) people, employers, line managers and HR teams.
Format:
Online group session
Your facilitator:
Gary Lamont, Head of Partnerships at The Work Inclusion Project.
Dates:
- Thursday 12th November – 13:30-15:30
- Thursday 10th December – 13:30-15:30
Please note:
These sessions offer general guidance on Access to Work. We can’t make decisions on applications, which are handled by the Department for Work and Pensions.
