-For assessors
Untrained managers are the leading cause of disability disputes. Generic disability awareness training doesn’t fix this.
The evidence is consistent: disabled employees leave organisations primarily because of how their disability is managed day-to-day, not because of the disability itself. The manager relationship is the decisive factor. Yet most disability training for managers is generic, tick box-focused and delivered by trainers without expertise in both management / HR and disability in a professional workplace. Awareness alone doesn’t translate to skills or inclusion.
We provide specialist training for raising awareness, addressing disabling attitudes and stigma, building confidence and practical skills in creating and maintaining accessible, inclusive workplaces, covering legal duties, practical adjustments, and best practices.
Training can be tailored for senior leadership, HR teams, or line management / local teams.

Understanding Management & HR as a disabled person
This course helps disabled & neurodivergent employees to understand normative standards, concepts, & processes, to improve pragmatic self-advocacy with management & HR and minimise the risk of entrenched conflict or dispute.
This course is run for two different cohorts:
- for those in senior, complex, and / or autonomous roles.
- for those in more junior roles with closer line management involvement in day-to-day work.
What disability-related disadvantage does this address?
Disabled employees are disadvantaged when their managers lack the skills to communicate effectively about disability, handle adjustment conversations well, or support neurodivergent and mentally ill staff appropriately. Poorly managed disability creates legal risk as well as human cost. Disability discrimination claims are costly and largely avoidable with adequate manager training.
