-For the disabled professional
Expert support at the moments that matter most.
A new role. A worsening diagnosis. A return from sick leave. A workplace dispute that’s getting out of hand. These are the moments when the gap between what you’re capable of and what your workplace can offer is widest. Left without the right support, they become the moments that derail careers. TWIP exists because that doesn’t have to happen.
Our Specialist Job Coaches work alongside you for up to 26 weeks, starting intensive and stepping back as your strategies, capacity and confidence build. Crucially, your coach has direct experience in your sector. An academic isn’t coached by someone who doesn’t understand REF cycles. A lawyer isn’t coached by someone who doesn’t know the professional pressures of a legal career. Sector specificity is what makes it actually work.
A qualified coach with direct experience in academia, law, finance, senior leadership or entrepreneurship
Up to 26 weeks of structured, reducing support, designed to align with Access to Work funding
Practical strategies for managing day-to-day professional demands alongside your disability
Support through workplace conflict, performance concerns, disclosure decisions and adjustment negotiations
Co-coaching with colleagues, managers, or HR to build supportive relationships and negotiate adjustments
Dr Helen Kara
“I was diagnosed autistic at the age of 56 and the support I have received from TWIP since then has improved my life beyond measure. The workplace adjustment coaching is transformative, and still helpful today as adjusting to a later-life diagnosis is a very long process. And the support for my work has enabled me to come much closer to reaching my full potential than I ever thought would be possible. Being able to focus my talent, instead of endlessly struggling with tasks I find unusually difficult, makes work a joy instead of an ordeal. I am enormously grateful.”
